A Hunted Beaver
In a forest, a beaver's tail was sought for its healing power, but the beaver escaped by sacrificing its own tail.

In a large forest, there lived a beaver with a strong tail.
Many people believed that this tail had special healing powers.
Because of this, many people wanted to catch the beaver to take its tail.
One day, a person came into the forest.
The beaver felt the danger and heard the person’s footsteps getting closer.
The person wanted the beaver’s tail, and the beaver was very scared.
It felt that its life was in danger.
The beaver then had an idea.
Even though it knew it would hurt, it felt there was no other choice.
Quickly, the beaver bit off its own tail.
When the person found only the tail and not the beaver, they felt happy and left the forest.
The beaver was safe, but it had lost its tail.
From that day on, the beaver lived quietly in the forest, without a tail but safe from people.
In the heart of a sprawling forest, lived a beaver, known for its hardy tail. A belief thrived among humans that this tail held great healing power. This, in turn, led many to hunt the beaver, longing for the miracle they thought was enclosed within its tail.
One particular day, danger lurked in the woods. The beaver felt the presence of a human and heard their swift steps closing in. The chase had begun. The human's desire for the beaver's tail drove them faster, closer. Fear coursed through the beaver, its life hanging in the balance.
In the throes of this peril, an idea sparked in the beaver's mind. Though it knew it would be painful, it saw no other way. It made a difficult choice: with a quick, firm bite, it severed its own tail.
The human, upon finding the tail but not the beaver, was satisfied and retreated, leaving the beaver to its quiet forest life. The beaver felt the sting of its loss, but also the joy of survival. From that day on, it lived a safe life, though tail-less, knowing it had outsmarted the human's greed.
In a huge, bustling forest, there was a beaver who was kinda famous. Yeah, you heard it right! His tail was said to be some sort of magical cure-all. "Sprained ankle? Use the tail! Bad day? Tail magic!" That's what the humans believed.
“Seriously?” the beaver sighed, pausing from his busy dam-building schedule. “Who comes up with this stuff? My tail's not a magic wand. It can't even play video games!”
But people will be people, and they kept believing this tail tale. So, one day, our beaver friend felt a special tingling. Someone was coming! And it wasn't the soft patter of bunny feet or the prancing of a deer. No, it was a loud, stomping walk.
“Oh no, not the tail-chasers again!” moaned the beaver.
As his cute, big eyes got even bigger, a funny yet genius plan popped into his head. “Ah! I've got it! Time for some showbiz!”
With dramatic flair, the beaver did something pretty shocking. He bit his own tail off and let it float away in the water. Talk about a diversion!
The human found the tail but not the beaver. Confused, he picked it up. “Hmm. Well, okay. Guess it's better than nothing?” And off he went, holding a tail that couldn't do any of the things he hoped for.
Popping out from behind a bush, the beaver felt relieved. “Phew, that was close! But look at me, still fabulous even without my tail!” He winked at a passing squirrel. “Who says I can't think fast, huh?”
From that day on, our clever beaver swam a little unevenly, but proudly, in his forest pond. Sure, he missed his tail, but he was the talk of the forest for outsmarting the humans.
Deep within the woods, where the tall trees stand,
Lived a beaver, most famous in the land.
Its tail was thought to have a magic might,
That drew humans close, day and night.
One sunny day, as shadows danced around,
Human steps echoed, a chasing sound.
For the tail, the human ran so fast,
Beaver's heart raced, would it outlast?
A clever thought then crossed its mind,
To leave its precious tail behind.
Though it hurt to make such a choice,
It bit its tail, silencing its voice.
The human found the tail, gleaming and neat,
And thinking they’d won, they beat a retreat.
But our beaver, now without its tail's gleam,
Smiled at its wit and the escaped dream.
For in its forest home, it danced and played,
Safe and sound, with its cleverness displayed.
Though its tail was gone, it wore a brave face,
Having outwitted greed, it found its safe place.
