The Farmer and the Snake
A farmer saves a dying snake, but the snake repays kindness with a fatal bite.
One cold winter day, a farmer saw a snake lying still and almost frozen near his field. The snake looked like it was going to die because of the cold. The farmer felt sorry for the snake and decided to help it.
The kind farmer picked up the snake and took it home. He put the cold snake near a warm fire, hoping the heat would help it. Slowly, the snake began to warm up and get stronger.
As the snake got better, it suddenly moved and bit the farmer who had saved it. The bite was poisonous, and the farmer quickly began to feel sick.
The farmer realized the snake he helped had hurt him, and he felt sad. As he got sicker, he thought about how helping the wrong animal could cause regret.

Eines kalten Wintertages sah ein Bauer eine Schlange, die reglos und fast erfroren nahe seinem Feld lag. Die Schlange sah aus, als würde sie wegen der Kälte sterben. Der Bauer fühlte Mitleid mit der Schlange und beschloss, ihr zu helfen.
Der freundliche Bauer hob die Schlange auf und nahm sie mit nach Hause. Er legte die kalte Schlange in die Nähe eines warmen Feuers, in der Hoffnung, dass die Hitze ihr helfen würde. Langsam begann sich die Schlange aufzuwärmen und wurde stärker.

Det var en gång en bonde som en kall vinterdag såg en orm ligga stilla och nästan stelfrusen i närheten av hans åker. Ormen såg ut som om den höll på att dö på grund av kylan. Bonden tyckte synd om ormen och bestämde sig för att hjälpa den.
Den snälla bonden plockade upp ormen och tog den med sig hem. Han lade den kalla ormen nära den varma eldstaden och hoppades att värmen skulle hjälpa den. Långsamt började ormen bli varm och återfå krafterna
Men när ormen mådde bättre, rörde den sig plötsligt och bet bonden som hade räddat den. Bettet var giftigt, och bonden började snabbt känna sig dålig.
Bonden insåg att ormen han hade hjälpt hade skadat honom, och han blev ledsen. När han blev sämre tänkte han på hur farligt det kan vara att hjälpa fel djur.
