The Foolish Lion And The Clever Rabbit

Once upon a time, in a dense forest, there lived a fierce lion. He was very cruel and killed many animals every day without any reason. The animals were scared and worried about their lives.

One day, the animals had a meeting to find a solution. They decided to make a deal with the lion. They went to the lion and suggested that instead of hunting them all, he should accept one animal each day as his meal. The lion agreed, happy to get his food without any effort.

Every day, one animal went to the lion as his meal. This continued for a while, and the animals lived without fear, knowing their turn would come eventually. One day, it was a clever rabbit's turn to be the lion's meal. Instead of going directly to the lion, he made a plan to save himself and the other animals.

The clever rabbit took a long time to reach the lion. The lion was very hungry and angry when he saw the rabbit coming late.

"Why are you so late?" roared the lion.

The rabbit replied, "I was not the only rabbit sent to you. There were six of us. But on our way, we met another lion who wanted to eat us."

The rabbit continued, "I managed to escape and came to tell you about this new threat. The other lion is very fierce and wants to take over your territory."

The lion was very angry, thinking that another lion was trying to take his place. He told the rabbit to show him the other lion. The rabbit led the lion to a deep well and said the other lion lived at the bottom. The lion looked into the well and saw his reflection in the water, thinking it was the rival lion. He roared and jumped into the well to attack, but he drowned.

With the death of the fierce lion, the animals in the forest were free from his terror. They praised the clever rabbit for his intelligence and bravery, and peace was restored in the forest.
