After running for a while, the stag found a dark cave. He thought it was a good place to hide, so he went inside. He hoped the hunters and their dogs would not find him there. He went deep into the cave and tried to make himself as small as possible.
But the cave was not empty. A big lion was inside, resting. The stag's entrance woke the lion up. The lion looked at the stag and was very hungry. The stag didn't have time to do anything before the lion jumped on him and caught him.
