The King and The Parrots

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a powerful king who loved birds very much. He caught two beautiful parrots with bright green feathers and curious eyes. However, one of the parrots escaped from the king's palace.

The escaped parrot found a new home in a small hut where a kind and wise man lived. This man was very smart and caring. The parrot learned good manners and how to be polite while living with him. It listened carefully to the wise man and began to talk just like him.

Meanwhile, the other parrot stayed in the king's noisy palace. It was surrounded by loud people who often made silly jokes and were not very polite. This parrot began to act like them. It spoke rudely and showed no respect to others.

One day, the king wanted to show his parrot to his guests. But when the parrot spoke, it used the rude language it had learned in the palace. Everyone was shocked and embarrassed.

At the same time, a traveler was passing by the wise man's hut and noticed the well-behaved parrot. Thinking the king would like such a polite bird, the traveler took it to the palace. When the parrot greeted the king and his guests politely, everyone clapped and cheered. The king was surprised but very pleased. He asked the traveler where he had found such a wonderful parrot.

The traveler explained about the escaped parrot and how it had learned good manners from the wise man. The king looked from his rude parrot to the polite one and realized that even though they looked alike, their behaviors were shaped by where they lived and whom they were with.
