The Goatherd and the Wild Goats
Text Version

Once upon a time, there was a Goatherd who tended to his flock of goats in a lush green pasture. Every day, he diligently cared for the animals, ensuring they were well-fed and safe from harm.

One day, while grazing on the mountainside, a group of Wild Goats appeared. The Goatherd was struck by their beauty and strength, and he decided that he wanted to add them to his flock. He approached the Wild Goats and kindly offered them shelter and food if they would join his herd.

Enticed by the Goatherd's generosity, the Wild Goats agreed and began living amongst the domesticated goats. Over time, the Goatherd grew increasingly fond of the Wild Goats, admiring their grace and untamed spirit. He began to favor them over his own goats, providing them with the best food and care he could offer.

As the days passed, the Goatherd's original flock of goats started to feel neglected and resentful. They noticed that their herder no longer paid them as much attention as he once did, and they started to grow thin and weak from lack of proper care.

One day, a fierce storm approached, and the Wild Goats, sensing the danger, decided to return to the mountains to seek shelter among the rocks and cliffs. The Goatherd, realizing that he had lost the Wild Goats he had grown to love, was left with his original flock, now weakened and dispirited by his neglect.
